The Old Stonebridges Q4 Business Meeting was held at the New City Library in New City, NY on Thursday, December 21st.
Attending the meeting were Sara (Seneschal), Matt (Deputy Seneschal), Amelia (Exchequer), Richard (Chatelaine), and Marc (Webminister).
The meeting was called to order at 8:10PM.
Officer Reports
- Seneschal – TRM are looking for event bids for the Central region. Sara is also now Head Retainer for TRH Tindal and Emerson, always looking for volunteers. Last meeting as group Seneschal.
- Chatelaine – Two new contacts, did not make it to meeting.
- Exchequer – Money situation is the same.
- Webminister – Web situation is the same.
Officer Elections
Seneschal: Sara’s term has expired, and call was placed for candidates at the 3Q Business Meeting. Only one person applied, Matt (Matthias). Per the Shire charter, an informal vote was called for by a show of hands, and the result was unanimous, and Matt will begin the term of Seneschal for the group starting 1/1/2024, serving through 9/30/2025 to get election timing back on track. Matt is also asking for deputies to learn the position for the continued health of the group.
The group would like to thank Sara for her long service.
Other Business
- Working towards the canton issue, everyone present was in favor of exploring the possibility, and it was generally agreed that working at more local events supporting Ostgardr and our other local groups would be a positive move in general. Also discussed were steps needed to further the issue by working towards polling and reaching out to other members who may not be as active but are paid members.
- It was noted how the remodeled New City Library has some excellent meeting spaces, including a Maker Room where we could consider some gatherings for crafting/largesse/garb.
- Upcoming events were discussed – EK Curia, Kingdom 12th Night, Branch Seneschal 101 Virtual Class, Birka, Bellringer’s Ball, EK Bardic Champs, Bear’s Tavern, Mudthaw, Gulf Wars, Coronation, War of the Daffodils.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40PM.
